Meet the coaches

All six coaches below work at Intense Boxing / INTENSE ABC CIC in Plymouth. Brendan Jones is head coach to the amateur team; Marlee remains founder and professional coach.

Marlee Dann (they/them)

Founder & professional coach

Marlee founded Intense Boxing in 2011 with Shane Radmore to give young people in Plymouth a place to train, belong and achieve. They still give advice and guidance when needed, and corner professional champions on major shows.

Brendan Jones

Head coach · Level 2 & professional coach

Brendan is head coach to Intense’s amateur team, a Level 2 England Boxing coach and BBBoC professional coach, and has coached at the club since 2013 — the steady presence parents meet on squad nights.

Shane Radmore

Co-founder · Level 2 & professional coach

Shane started Intense ABC with Marlee Dann in 2011, is a Level 2 England Boxing and BBBoC professional coach, and has coached for more than 20 years. Parents will find a strength-and-conditioning brain behind the padwork.

Dean Cooper

Level 1 England Boxing coach

Dean is a Level 1 England Boxing coach at Intense who has been with the club for about six months — a newer face on the pads that parents will meet as the team grows.

Aiden Dann

Level 1 England Boxing coach

Aiden has been part of Intense from age 12 and is now a Level 1 England Boxing coach. Adopted son of professional coach Marlee — a pathway story kids can see on the gym floor.
